A creamy, spicy tuna sandwich inspired by the viral Joe’s style sando, layered with soft white bread, crisp cucumber, and fresh lettuce. Quick, flavorful, and perfect for an easy lunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans tuna (about 160 grams each), drained well
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 medium cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 4 butter lettuce leaves, washed and dried
  • 4 slices soft white sandwich bread
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Drain the tuna thoroughly and place it in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until creamy and well combined.
  3. Lay the bread slices flat on a clean surface.
  4. Spread a thick, even layer of the spicy tuna mixture onto two slices of bread.
  5. Top with thin cucumber slices and butter lettuce leaves.
  6. Place the remaining bread slices on top and gently press to compact.
  7. Trim crusts if desired and slice diagonally before serving.

Notes

  • Chill the tuna mixture for 10 minutes before assembling for better structure.
  • Drain tuna completely to prevent soggy bread.
  • Adjust sriracha to control the spice level.
  • Assemble just before serving for the best texture.
