A refreshing strawberry basil detox infusion made with fresh strawberries, fragrant basil leaves, and chilled filtered water. This light and naturally flavored drink is perfect for daily hydration, brunch tables, or a spa-inspired refreshment.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
  • 6 to 8 fresh basil leaves, gently bruised
  • 4 cups filtered water, chilled
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Wash and thinly slice the fresh strawberries.
  2. Gently bruise the basil leaves by lightly pressing them between your fingers to release aroma.
  3. Add the sliced strawberries and basil leaves to the bottom of a clean glass pitcher.
  4. Pour 4 cups of chilled filtered water into the pitcher.
  5. Add ice cubes to the pitcher or directly into serving glasses.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to infuse.
  7. Stir gently before serving to distribute the flavors evenly.
  8. Serve chilled, ensuring each glass includes a few strawberry slices and basil leaves.

Notes

  • Use ripe strawberries for the best natural sweetness.
  • Do not over bruise the basil to prevent bitterness.
  • Infuse longer for stronger flavor, but remove basil after 24 hours.
  • Best enjoyed within one day for peak freshness.
