Golden seasoned crispy fries baked to perfection with paprika and garlic, crunchy outside and fluffy inside, perfect for parties or as a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes, about 1 kilogram, peeled and cut into sticks
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup ketchup for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220 degrees Celsius and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Soak cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes, then drain and dry completely.
  3. Toss dried potatoes with cornstarch in a large bowl until lightly coated.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over potatoes and toss again. Add paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper and mix evenly.
  5. Spread fries in a single layer on the baking sheet without overlapping.
  6. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Sprinkle extra salt if desired and serve hot with ketchup.

Notes

  • Dry potatoes thoroughly before baking to ensure crispiness.
  • Flip fries halfway for even browning.
  • Serve immediately for best texture.
