Rich, chewy date cups layered with creamy peanut butter and topped with smooth dark chocolate. These no-bake treats taste indulgent but are made with simple, wholesome ingredients and come together in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a muffin tin with 12 paper or silicone liners.
  2. Place the pitted Medjool dates in a food processor and blend until a sticky paste forms.
  3. Divide the date mixture evenly among the liners and press firmly into the base of each cup.
  4. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of peanut butter over each date base and spread gently into an even layer.
  5. In a microwave safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips with coconut oil in 20 second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  6. Spoon the melted chocolate evenly over each cup and smooth the tops.
  7. Sprinkle with a tiny pinch of salt if using.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until fully set before serving.

Notes

  • If the dates feel dry, soak them in warm water for 10 minutes and pat dry before blending.
  • Press the date layer firmly to help the cups hold their shape.
  • Do not overheat the chocolate to prevent it from seizing.
  • Store in the refrigerator for best texture and freshness.
