Crispy roasted broccoli tossed with garlic and finished with freshly grated parmesan for a simple yet flavorful side dish that is ready in 30 minutes.

  • 1 1/2 pounds broccoli florets, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 18 to 20 minutes until edges are golden and slightly crispy.
  5. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the broccoli during the last 3 to 5 minutes of roasting.
  6. Remove from oven and serve warm.

Notes

  • Dry broccoli thoroughly before roasting for better crispiness.
  • Do not overcrowd the baking sheet.
  • Add lemon juice before serving for extra brightness.
