A creamy and refreshing fruit custard made with smooth vanilla custard and a mix of fresh mango, strawberries, banana, apple, and green grapes. This chilled dessert is light, colorful, and perfect for gatherings or family meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons custard powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup mango, diced
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1 large banana, sliced
  • 1 medium apple, diced
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved

Instructions

  1. Place a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the custard powder with 1/2 cup of the milk until completely smooth and lump free.
  3. Add the remaining milk to the saucepan and bring it to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in the granulated sugar until dissolved.
  5. Gradually pour in the custard mixture while whisking continuously to prevent lumps.
  6. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring constantly, until the custard thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
  7. Remove from heat and allow the custard to cool completely at room temperature.
  8. Once fully cooled, gently fold in the diced mango, chopped strawberries, sliced banana, diced apple, and halved green grapes.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  10. Serve chilled and enjoy.

Notes

  • Always allow the custard to cool fully before adding fruit to maintain freshness and texture.
  • Stir continuously while cooking to avoid lumps.
  • Add banana and apple closer to serving time if you want to prevent browning.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
