A rich and comforting creamy white sauce pasta made with a smooth béchamel base, garlic, and melted cheese for a satisfying meal.

  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella or mild cheese

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook briefly.
  4. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute while whisking.
  5. Gradually add milk while whisking continuously.
  6. Cook until sauce thickens.
  7. Add salt, black pepper, and grated cheese, stirring until melted.
