Color Layer Chicken Rice Jar

- 3 cups cooked white rice, cooled
- 2 medium boneless skinless chicken breast, about 400 grams, cooked and sliced
- 1 cup shredded carrots, about 100 grams
- 1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 cup thinly sliced red cabbage, about 90 grams
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breast with salt and black pepper.
- Add olive oil to the skillet and cook the chicken for 6 to 8 minutes per side until fully cooked. Remove from heat, let rest, then slice into strips.
- Spoon about ¾ cup of cooked white rice into the bottom of each jar and press gently to level.
- Layer sliced chicken evenly over the rice in each jar.
- Add shredded carrots, sliced cucumber, and red cabbage on top in neat layers.
- Seal the jars and refrigerate until ready to serve. Shake gently or stir before eating to combine flavors.
Notes
- Allow the rice to cool before layering to prevent condensation.
- Pat vegetables dry before assembling to keep them crisp.
- Add any dressing just before serving to maintain freshness.
