A warm, gooey loaf of crusty bread stuffed with melted mozzarella, sharp cheddar, and fresh jalapeños. This pull-apart bread is cheesy, slightly spicy, and perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large round crusty bread loaf, about 12 ounces
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 medium fresh jalapeños, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder and salt.
  3. Using a serrated knife, cut the bread loaf into a crosshatch pattern, stopping before cutting all the way through the bottom.
  4. Spoon the butter mixture evenly into the cuts of the bread.
  5. Stuff shredded mozzarella, shredded cheddar, and sliced jalapeños evenly between the bread cuts.
  6. Place the loaf on the prepared baking sheet. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve warm and pull apart to enjoy.

Notes

  • Do not cut all the way through the bread or it may fall apart.
  • Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melt and texture.
  • Remove jalapeño seeds for a milder flavor.
