Fluffy pancakes topped with warm cinnamon caramelized apples and a light caramel drizzle for a cozy breakfast treat.
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted for batter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter for apples
- 2 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
- In another bowl mix milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients gently until just mixed.
- Pour 1/4 cup batter onto skillet for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form, flip and cook until golden brown.
- In a separate pan melt butter, add apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Cook until apples are tender and caramelized.
- Stack pancakes and spoon caramelized apples on top.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce and serve warm.
Notes
- Do not overmix batter for fluffy texture.
- Cook apples over medium heat to avoid burning.
- Keep pancakes warm in a low oven while cooking batches.
