Crispy and golden Air Fryer Pasta Chips made with al dente pasta, olive oil, parmesan, and herbs, then air fried to crunchy perfection. Perfect for dipping in marinara and serving as a fun, shareable snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups dry short pasta (such as rigatoni or bow ties)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the 3 cups of dry pasta until al dente according to package instructions. Drain well and allow to cool slightly.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  3. In a large mixing bowl, toss the cooked pasta with olive oil, grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the seasoned pasta in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary.
  5. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the pasta is golden and crispy.
  6. Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool for 2 to 3 minutes to crisp further.
  7. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even crisping.
  • Cook pasta only to al dente so it holds its shape while air frying.
  • Let the chips cool slightly after cooking to maximize crunch.
  • Reheat leftovers briefly in the air fryer to restore crispiness.
