  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices bread

Instructions

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium low heat.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
  3. Add butter to the skillet and allow it to melt completely.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and gently stir with a spatula, folding the eggs until softly scrambled and just set.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat while the eggs are still slightly creamy.
  6. Toast the bread slices until lightly golden.
  7. Place one slice of cheddar cheese over the warm eggs so it begins to melt.
  8. Spoon the eggs onto one slice of toast and top with the second slice of cheddar cheese.
  9. Cover with the second slice of toast, slice in half, and serve immediately.
