Crispy, melty, and full of flavor, this Turkey Panini combines roasted turkey, Swiss cheese, tomatoes, and arugula between golden grilled sourdough for the ultimate café-style sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 8 slices roasted turkey breast
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat a panini press or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Spread on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Layer cheese, turkey, tomato, and arugula on two slices of bread, sauce side up. Top with remaining bread slices, sauce side down.
  4. Butter the outsides of each sandwich lightly.
  5. Place sandwiches in the press or pan and cook 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  6. Let rest 1 minute, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use hearty bread like ciabatta or focaccia for a sturdier bite.
  • Spread cheese on both sides of the sandwich for optimal melting.
  • For extra flavor, add roasted red peppers or avocado slices.
