A soft, lightly sweet oat bread with a tender crumb and cozy homemade flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cups all purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix rolled oats and warm water, then add yeast and honey and let sit until foamy.
  3. Stir in salt, olive oil, and flour until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead gently and shape dough, then place into loaf pan.
  5. Bake until golden and hollow sounding when tapped.
  6. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
