Crispy, golden, and full of bold flavor, these Savory Lentil Crackers are a wholesome and satisfying snack made with simple pantry staples. Perfect on their own or paired with dips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup red lentils (soaked 48 hours)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Drain the soaked lentils and add them to a blender with water, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, paprika, and salt. Blend until smooth and thick.
  3. Pour the batter onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and spread it evenly using an offset spatula until about 1/8 inch thick.
  4. Optionally, score the batter lightly into squares using a knife for even pieces after baking.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the edges are golden and crisp.
  6. Let the crackers cool completely on the tray. They will crisp further as they cool.
  7. Break into squares and serve plain or with your favorite dip.

Notes

  • Use a high-speed blender for the smoothest texture.
  • Spread the batter thin for extra crunch.
  • Add seeds or herbs on top for extra texture and flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
