Salted Caramel Cracker Bites

Buttery crisp crackers coated in rich golden caramel, topped with smooth melted chocolate and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt for the ultimate sweet, salty, and crunchy bite.

  • 40 saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and stir constantly until the mixture begins to boil. Boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
  3. Pour the hot caramel evenly over the crackers and spread with a spatula to cover.
  4. Bake for 5 minutes until the caramel is bubbling. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top. Let sit for 2 minutes, then spread the melted chocolate into a smooth layer.
  5. Sprinkle the flaky sea salt over the warm chocolate. Allow to cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate until set.
  6. Break into bite-sized pieces and serve.

Notes

  • Use a heavy-bottomed saucepan to prevent scorching the caramel.
  • Spread chocolate while it is soft for a glossy finish.
  • Cool fully before breaking for clean, snappy pieces.
