A refreshing peach iced tea sparkling drink made with freshly brewed black tea, ripe peach slices, and chilled sparkling water. Lightly sweet, fruity, and bubbly, it is the perfect summer cooler for warm days.

Ingredients

  • 3 black tea bags
  • 3 cups hot water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 medium ripe peaches, thinly sliced
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons honey or sugar
  • 2 cups chilled sparkling water
  • 1 to 2 cups ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil using a kettle or saucepan.
  2. Place the tea bags in a heatproof pitcher and pour the hot water over them. Let steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags and stir in the honey or sugar while the tea is still warm until fully dissolved.
  4. Add 1 cup of cold water and the sliced peaches to the pitcher. Refrigerate for about 1 hour until completely chilled.
  5. Fill tall glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled peach tea about three quarters full.
  6. Top each glass with chilled sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
  7. Garnish with extra peach slices or fresh mint leaves if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Brew the tea slightly stronger since ice and sparkling water will dilute the flavor.
  • Add sparkling water just before serving to maintain maximum fizz.
  • Use ripe peaches for the sweetest natural flavor.
  • Store tea without sparkling water for up to two days in the refrigerator.
