A soft and creamy dessert made with milk and fine semolina, gently sweetened and chilled until perfectly set, then topped with fresh fruit.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup fine semolina
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 whole fresh strawberries

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease a square dish and set it aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, semolina, and sugar until smooth.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
  4. Add the butter and vanilla extract, then continue stirring until fully melted and glossy.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and smooth the surface evenly.
  6. Refrigerate until fully set, then slice and top each portion with fresh strawberries.

  • Allow full chilling time for clean slices.
