- 3/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (plus more for drizzling)
- 4 breakfast sausage patties
- 4 slices American or cheddar cheese
- 4 large eggs
- Butter or oil, for cooking
- In a bowl, mix pancake mix, water, and maple syrup until smooth. Let sit for 2–3 minutes.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease. Pour small rounds of batter (about 3 inches wide) and cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook sausage patties until browned and fully cooked. Set aside.
- Crack eggs into greased rings (or free-form) and cook until yolks are just set. Optionally flip for over-easy style.
- Assemble the McGriddle: pancake, sausage patty, slice of cheese, cooked egg, and another pancake. Drizzle with maple syrup if desired.
