Flaky, buttery biscuits infused with garlic, herbs, and a hint of Parmesan. These Garlic Bread Biscuits are the perfect fusion of classic Southern biscuits and Italian garlic bread—golden, aromatic, and ready in under 25 minutes.

Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour: 2 cups
  • Baking Powder: 1 tablespoon
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Unsalted Butter: 1/2 cup, cold and cubed
  • Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
  • Fresh Parsley: 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Milk or Buttermilk: 3/4 cup
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese: 1/4 cup
  • Olive Oil or Melted Butter: 2 tablespoons (for brushing)
  • Dried Italian Herbs: 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Stir in minced garlic, parsley, and Parmesan. Gradually pour in milk until the dough just comes together.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Turn dough onto a floured surface, pat to 1-inch thickness, and cut into rounds. Place on baking sheet.
  6. Finishing Touches: Brush with olive oil or melted butter mixed with Italian herbs. Bake for 12–14 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Brush again with garlic butter after baking and serve warm.

Notes

  • Keep butter cold for the flakiest biscuits.
  • Don’t overmix the dough—handle it gently.
  • Use fresh garlic for the brightest flavor.
  • Freeze unbaked biscuits and bake straight from frozen when needed.
