Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 large ripe fresh figs, about 500 grams, washed and stems removed
  • 2 cups cold water, 480 milliliters
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, 15 milliliters
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons honey, 15 to 30 milliliters, optional
  • 1 cup ice cubes, for serving

Instructions

  1. Wash the fresh figs thoroughly and remove the stems.
  2. Add the figs, cold water, fresh lemon juice, and honey into a blender.
  3. Blend on high speed for 1 to 2 minutes until completely smooth.
  4. If desired, strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher for a smoother texture.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  6. Pour over ice cubes in serving glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use very ripe figs for the sweetest and richest flavor.
  • Chill the water beforehand for an instantly refreshing drink.
  • If the juice is too thick, add a little more cold water and blend again.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and stir before serving.
