Golden crispy halloumi cubes pan fried to perfection and drizzled with honey, finished with sesame seeds and fresh thyme. A quick sweet and salty appetizer ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams halloumi cheese, cut into 2 centimeter cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a non stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Pat halloumi cubes dry with paper towels.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet.
  4. Arrange halloumi cubes in a single layer.
  5. Cook 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer to a plate and drizzle with honey.
  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, thyme, and black pepper, then serve warm.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the pan for even browning.
  • Add honey after cooking to prevent burning.
  • Reheat gently in a skillet if needed.
