Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons instant espresso powder or strong brewed espresso (cooled)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, sugar, espresso powder, vanilla, and salt until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  2. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until cold.
  3. Pour into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually 20–25 minutes.
  4. Transfer to a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
