A warm and comforting bowl of creamy cinnamon raisin oats made with rolled oats, milk, plump raisins, and a touch of natural sweetness. Perfect for a cozy, nourishing breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Place a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add rolled oats, milk, water, raisins, ground cinnamon, and salt into the saucepan.
  3. Stir gently to combine all ingredients evenly.
  4. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  5. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes until the oats are tender and the mixture thickens to your desired consistency.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup. Let sit for 1 minute to thicken.
  7. Spoon into bowls and serve warm.

Notes

  • For thicker oats, cook an extra 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Add a splash of warm milk when reheating to restore creaminess.
  • You can substitute almond milk or oat milk for a dairy free option.
  • Taste before serving and adjust sweetness if needed.
