Rich dark chocolate cups filled with a creamy tahini center, lightly sweetened with maple syrup and finished with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. A simple no bake dessert with a perfect balance of nutty, smooth, and slightly salty flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (340 grams) dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (240 grams) tahini
  • 2 tablespoons (30 milliliters) maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 gram) sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon (9 grams) sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Line a mini muffin tin with paper liners and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix the tahini, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt until smooth and creamy.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl in 20 second intervals, stirring between each interval until fully smooth.
  4. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of melted chocolate into each liner, spreading slightly up the sides. Chill for 10 minutes until slightly firm.
  5. Add about 1 teaspoon of the tahini mixture into the center of each cup.
  6. Top each cup with another tablespoon of melted chocolate, covering the filling completely.
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top while the chocolate is still slightly soft.
  8. Refrigerate for 20 minutes, or until fully set and firm to the touch.
  9. Remove from liners and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Stir the tahini well before measuring to ensure a smooth filling.
  • Melt chocolate gently to avoid overheating or seizing.
  • Store cups in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.
  • Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving for a softer texture.
