  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for glaze)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix yogurt, egg, milk, oil, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Spoon or pipe batter into donut pan, filling ¾ full.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
  8. For the glaze, melt chocolate chips and butter together, then stir in powdered sugar and milk until smooth.

Notes

  • Double-dip the glaze for extra richness.
  • Sift cocoa powder to avoid clumps.
  • Use a piping bag for neater donut shapes.
