Soft and fluffy homemade rolls brushed with garlic butter and topped with melted mozzarella and Parmesan, baked until golden and bubbly. Perfect as a comforting side dish or irresistible appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 to 10 minutes until foamy. Add melted butter, salt, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms, then knead for about 8 minutes until smooth.
  3. Lightly grease the baking dish to prevent sticking.
  4. Divide dough into 12 equal portions, shape into balls, and place snugly in the dish. Mix minced garlic with a small portion of the melted butter and brush over the tops. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over each roll. Let rise for 20 minutes.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Brush with remaining melted butter and sprinkle chopped parsley over the hot rolls.
  7. Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm.

Notes

  • For best results, use freshly grated cheese for superior melting.
  • If rolls brown too quickly, loosely cover with foil during baking.
  • Dough should be soft and slightly tacky, avoid adding too much flour.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven for best texture.
