Soft pan cooked flatbread filled with melted mozzarella, lightly crisp on the outside and warm and cheesy on the inside, perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil, then mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead lightly until smooth, cover, and let rest for 15 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into equal portions and flatten each into a round.
  5. Place shredded mozzarella cheese in the center of each round.
  6. Seal the edges tightly and gently flatten again.
  7. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease.
  8. Cook each flatbread until golden on both sides and cooked through.
  9. Brush with butter while warm and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Keep heat moderate to prevent burning.
  • Seal edges well to avoid cheese leakage.
  • Serve warm for best texture.
