Soft and fluffy mini bread balls stuffed with gooey mozzarella cheese, baked until golden and perfectly tender. These cheese burst bites are ideal for parties, snacks, or serving alongside soups and dips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all purpose flour (about 360 grams)
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 240 milliliters)
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese cubes (about 200 grams)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until slightly foamy.
  3. Add all purpose flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Divide the dough into 16 equal portions. Flatten each piece, place a cube of mozzarella in the center, and seal tightly to form a ball.
  7. Arrange the balls seam side down on the prepared baking tray, spacing them slightly apart.
  8. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Brush lightly with olive oil immediately after baking for a soft finish.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy the gooey cheese center.

Notes

  • Seal the dough tightly around the cheese to prevent leaking during baking.
  • Keep cheese cubes cold before stuffing for a better melt.
  • Do not overbake to maintain a soft texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven for best results.
