A quick and savory homemade bread loaded with sharp cheddar, soft on the inside and lightly golden on the outside.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, and melted butter.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently.
  5. Fold in shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes until set.
  8. Cool slightly before slicing.
