A warm and indulgent breakfast quesadilla filled with sweet ripe bananas and melted semi sweet chocolate, toasted until golden and crisp. Perfect for a quick morning treat or a comforting snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium flour tortillas, about 8 inches each
  • 1 large ripe banana, sliced evenly
  • 1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
  2. Lay one tortilla flat and sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over half of it. Arrange the banana slices on top of the chocolate.
  3. Add the butter to the skillet and allow it to melt completely, coating the surface evenly.
  4. Fold the tortilla in half over the filling and gently press it down.
  5. Place the folded tortilla into the skillet and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crisp, and the chocolate has fully melted.
  6. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for 1 minute before slicing into triangles.
  7. Serve warm while the chocolate is still gooey and the tortilla perfectly crisp.

Notes

  • Use ripe bananas with small brown spots for the best natural sweetness.
  • Cook over medium heat to avoid burning the tortilla before the chocolate melts.
  • Do not overfill to prevent the filling from spilling out while cooking.
  • Reheat leftovers in a skillet over low heat to restore crispness.
