Crispy baked onion rings with a golden coating and tender center, perfect as a snack or side.

Ingredients

  • 2 large onions, sliced into rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F and prepare a baking sheet with a wire rack.
  2. Mix flour, salt, paprika, and pepper in one bowl.
  3. Whisk eggs and milk in another bowl.
  4. Place breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  5. Coat onion rings in flour, then egg mixture, then breadcrumbs.
  6. Arrange on rack and spray lightly.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, flip, then bake 5 more minutes.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the pan.
  • Serve immediately for best crunch.
