Golden, fluffy baked chicken rolls filled with creamy, cheesy shredded chicken and topped with sesame seeds. Perfect for parties, lunches, or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for dough)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 egg (for dough)
  • 1 egg yolk + 1 tablespoon milk (for brushing)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking tray or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, cheese, mayonnaise, parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm milk, egg, and olive oil. Mix and knead until a soft dough forms. Let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread the chicken mixture evenly, roll it tightly into a log, and slice into 1.5-inch pieces.
  5. Place rolls on the prepared tray. Brush tops with egg yolk and milk mixture. Sprinkle sesame seeds.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Let cool slightly, garnish with herbs if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use leftover rotisserie chicken for extra flavor and less prep.
  • Don’t overstuff the rolls to prevent them from breaking.
  • You can freeze unbaked rolls for later use.
  • Try adding a pinch of chili flakes for a spicy kick.
